Indian ocean may face earthquake in future

Ohhhh hello is this picture fascinate you all.
Guess?

I know , I know from the headlines onwards you all know it is Indian ocean.

So you all thinking what is there to tell you about of Indian ocean?

So here I go:-

According to a recent study from scientists , a new plate boundary may be forming in the floor of Indian ocean which in 2012 results in the largest earthquake shooking the area of Andaman-sumantra , from the recent studies scientists claim that in future Indian ocean can face more earthquakes.

What is plate boundaries?

Plate boundaries is a method used by scientists to describe the 7 large-scale motion plates and movements of larger number of smaller plates in earth's lithosphere.

The scientists claim this discovery on the basis of  study of seismic data recorded before ,after and during the quakes of 2012. Discovery also includes the data analysis of sea floor depth by venturing into the Indian ocean.

  • Scientists from all this theories, discoveries and data's created a high resolution image describing the sea floor deformation that occurred after the quakes of 2012.

  • It was found that nearly 1000 km of distance was effective immensely by the earthquake at Andaman-sumantra. Scientists hopefully agrees that in future Indian ocean can face more quakes of causing highly different impacts.
  • The scientists also claim that a new  fault system is also arises in coast of Andaman-sumantra region and again the new fault system can trigger more quakes in future.
  • All these earthquakes can lead  to inter plate earthquake causing a new plate boundary which most probably will cause more earthquakes.
  • These slip- strike earthquakes occurs when one plate  strikes the another boundary plate horizontally.

Impacts of earthquakes

An earthquake is an disaster which can cause severe destruction depending on its scale . It is measured by an instrument called Richter scale.
Impacts vary depending on Richter's scale intensity and pressure.
