Higher resolution weather model prediction by ministry of Earth sciences

Now a days , geologists and scientists are working die harder just to know what will happen next.

I think we all feel attractive when it comes to things which may occur in future therefore ministry of Earth sciences commissions comes out with a new high resolution weather prediction model as you can see above.

The MOES i.e The union ministry of Earth sciences commissioned a very high resolution of 12 km global deterministic weather prediction model for outcasting weather operational forecasts.

The predictional model was on trial since September of 2016. Till now the predictional model has shown valuable improvement in outcasting the weather for the skill of daily weather forecast.
To track hazard and disasters than can cause severe destruction and cyclonic storms like vardha, the union ministry of Earth sciences introduced this model.

Basically you all were thinking that did I just forgot to mention that what is MOES ?
Don't worry , here we didn't forget anything.

What is MOES?

MOES stands for "The union ministry of Earth sciences" which was formed in 2006 from a merger of Indian meteorological department.  The ministry function is to look after changes in atmospheric sciences , technology , seismic updates and ocean science in a differently integral manner.

  • This model replaces the earlier model which once had a resolution of 25km which plays a significant role in predicting the weather forecast and the intensity of cyclonic storms like vardha and others.
  • MOES's operational EPS ( ensemble prediction system was recently upgraded to 12 km.
  • To upgrade the EPS of MOES's high performance computing (HPC) system were stabilized to 10 peta-flops (pfs) to to 1.2 peta-flops.
