World Bank holds meet with India

World Bank holds recently meet India on indus water treaty for a deal.
About 6 months ago , Pakistan warns India against the breaches Indus water treaty , in which if India violates the indus water treaty (IWT) unbearably, Pakistan will take appropriate steps.

Pakistan also mentioned that they are deeply monitoring the area after India decided to abort all debate with Pakistan on indus water treaty after the URI attack.

Indus River is very important to Pakistan as Pakistan is almost dependent on Indus River. 65% of Pakistan's geo-graphical area is a part of Indus basin including the entire Punjab province that Pakistan take overed during partition.

All the sources of development in Pakistan is due on Indus River. It's source of hydro power plant's that generate electricity, source of agriculture like irrigation that requires alot of water and most importantly water for drinking. If India cuts the supply off, half Pakistan will die.

IWT plan is a distribution plan of water between India and Pakistan which world Bank broke.

India asked world Bank not to rush in brokering this deal with Pakistan and also conveyed and assured that the difference between India and Pakistan can be solved again through a professional advisor.

Understanding this whole situation, world Bank decided to set up a COA (court of arbitration) to resolve the difference and agreeing on Pakistan demands and appointing a professional expert to sought all this dispute.
This treaty deals with sharing water of Indus rivers that contain 6 rivers I.e Ravi, Jhelum, Sutlej, Beas , Chenab , Indus.

India also reacted strongly to the decision of appointing the COA last year seeking of that world Bank announced that it will halt for temporarily for two processes going simultaneously to solve .

IWT between India and Pakistan was signed in SEP 1960
